The initial heating uses the most energy, while the following days help maintain the warmth. During December, January, and February, the rate for pool heating is $169 per day, 3 days minimum. These rates help cover the higher utility costs in California during winter, as heating is required to reach the recommended pool temperature of 83°F to 86°F (28°C to 30°C). PETS.
